On the July 8 episode of the web variety show Salon Drip 2, Nana appeared as a guest and shared behind-the-scenes stories from the Baeksang Arts Awards held in May.
During the ceremony, Nana made headlines as a presenter when she said, “Suzy, you’re beautiful as always. Where is Suzy?”—searching for MC Suzy from the stage.
Comedian Jang Do Yeon, who was also at the event, commented, “It was unexpectedly hilarious. Nana looked fierce and charismatic in her outfit, but then cutely searched for Suzy. It was both bold and adorable.”
Nana explained her intent, saying, “I was so happy to see Suzy at the awards. I was watching her on the monitor backstage, and she looked so pretty again. I wanted to tell her directly, so when I went up on stage, I said, ‘You’re beautiful,’ but she wasn’t there. So I just blurted out, ‘Where’s Suzy?'”
She added that right after finishing the award presentation, she immediately went to find Suzy. “She was in the waiting room but didn’t even know I had said that. So I greeted her and told her she looked beautiful.”
The sweet exchange once again highlights the genuine bond between the two beloved stars.
